Please join us in welcoming Devours to the Mint Records roster! Devours is the moniker for the dark synth-pop project of the Vancouver-based underground electronic artist Jeff Cancade.
We’ve had our eyes on Devours for years, watching him win over the hearts and minds of countless live audiences at shows in town and at festivals elsewhere. Jeff has independently released 5 albums as Devours, and 4 ambient albums as his very own “rival” The Golden Age of Wrestling. We’ve previously collaborated with Devours on single releases, with Kellarissa and on CiTR Pop Alliance Vol. 5.
Mint Records was founded to highlight the great music coming out of Vancouver, and there are few artists currently representing Vancouver and our music scene as wholeheartedly as Devours. We love the way he champions, uplifts, and supports his fellow musicians in the local scene by posting his round-up of anticipated and noteworthy local indie albums on his label page Surviving The Game.
“My midnight shows at Red Gate are behind me now,” he sings on his latest single “A Cruel Fate,” but with his next album due out on Mint in 2027, we know that great days are still ahead of him.
If you haven’t seen Devours live yet, you can catch him at:
October 16 - Victoria @ Friendship Hall w/ Sook-Yin Lee
October 31 - North Vancouver @ the Polygon Gallery Halloween Party
November 8 - Vancouver @ The Biltmore Cabaret
