Today, Ribbon Skirt share their new track "LUCKY8" and announce their highly anticipated Bite Down follow-up EP, PENSACOLA, out digitally on October 3 on Mint!

"LUCKY8" marks Ribbon Skirt’s searing return with their first single since Bite Down. While it traverses abstract emotional terrain, "LUCKY8" spirals through memory and desire - grasping at the impossible, hoping that one flicker might bring the past rushing back. 

Announcing Shiny New Old Songs by The Pack a.d.

18 years ago, Mint and The Pack a.d. signed a three album deal over a bottle of Jack Daniels, and today we’re happy to share that we’re still working together!

On September 26 we’ll release Shiny New Old Songs, a collection of previously unreleased tracks from The Pack a.d.’s archives.

Four of the songs on the record are from the Unpersons era of The Pack and will be released on a glow-in-the-dark 7” vinyl.

It was almost exactly a year to today when Montreal's knitting released their debut LP Some Kind of Heaven on Mint Records. A Montreal group led by Mischa Dempsey (they/them), the band began attracting attention in their native Montreal in 2022, landing opening spots for artists like Nap Eyes, Julie Doiron, Cherry Glazerr, Truth Club and Gulfer, before releasing their Scott Munro (Preoccupations)-produced debut LP in 2024.

Today they announce their forthcoming LP, Who Died & Made You The Dream? and share a Jordan Minkoff-directed music video for the single “Hold Me Back."

Taking cues from campy horror b-films such as House and hybrid animations like Cool World, the music video follows the story of a person who is being haunted by their new haircut that has come to life.
