Ever since they were an adolescent, Mischa Dempsey has been eager to rock, cutting their teeth as a bassist and songwriter in bands from eastern Canada’s resolute DIY scene of the 2010s. It was through this wider scene that Dempsey first met future collaborators Andy Mulcair and Sarah Harris–playing a show with Mulcair in a Beatles-themed BnB venue in rural Nova Scotia, and Harris at a music festival in St. John’s, NL.
After their multi-million stream hit ‘See You in Hell,’ Nora Kelly Band has released their first single, ‘Port City Blues,’ from their forthcoming album So Wrong For So Long.
Nora Kelly Band takes the scapegoats out to pasture. Calloused and aching, but ready to turn a corner and usher in a new era— they strip away the inauthentic in order to see things for what they’re really worth. So Wrong For So Long, their second studio album, continues to fathom what a marriage of pop and alt-country can sound like.

After their 1993 release Betti-Cola ruled the campus airwaves for three consecutive months, cub came out with this quirky gem: Come Out Come Out. The purveyors of cuddlecore lit the fire with Betti-Cola, but this one burned the house down and solidified cub and Mint Records in indie record land.
